Our Marva Silent Bass
Angler's eighth tournament was held at our first time in Marva history at Christopher Run ramp
last Sunday, September 17, 2007.
There were 15 of us who fished at the Lake Anna. The weather was sunshine in the morning
and partysunner in the afternoon. The average of water temperature was 80 degrees. The
water clarity at North Lake Anna was stain and south Lake Anna was clear. Fishing at Lake
Anna was pretty tough due to cold front. At the end of the tournament, only 9 out of 15
anglers who caught the total of 23 bass, weighed 20.05 pounds altogether.
Daniel Whetzel won his second tournament. He caught 3 bass using senko green pumpkin. The
total weight was 3.85 lbs . Danny Duckwall was in second place with 5 bass which weighed
2.90 lbs. He used his 4 inches senko watermellon. John Forinash was in third place with 3
bass which weighed 2.72 lbs with crankbait .Tony Schiffanio won lunkder of the day 1.58
lbs. He used baby brush hog .
