Our Marva Silent Bass
Angler's first tournament was held at Duke Creek
Marina on Saturday, March 26th,
2005.
There were first long time that
there were 19 anglers showed up at the 1st tourney of the year 2005.
We had 9 boats. The weather was cold, cloudy and chillly. The temperature
was around 55 degree. The water temperature was around 55 degree.
The water in south(lower) was clear/stained but north (upper) was
muddy/stained.
There were only 20 largemouth
bass that had been caught, and the total weight was ? lbs. Only
11 out of 19 anglers caught largemouth bass. In addition to that,
we would like to express our warm welcome to veterans Tommy Cook
and Troy Stevens and new faces Pete Kensicki and Ricky Perry for
joining our Marva club!
George Watts won his first tournament.
He caught 1 monster bass using spinnerbait. His total weight was
5.39 lbs who haven't won 1st place since he joined Marva since 2003.
Sam Harris was in second place again with 1 bass which weighed 3.15
lbs. He threw his spinnerbait to catch 1 bass. Jason Teramae was
in third place with 5 bass which weighed 2.90 lbs. He used five
different lures to catch all bass. We would like to congratulate
to George Watts!
